We work towards the overall development of the hearing impaired children and their integration into regular school and society
The development of language is essential for the physiological and social development of a child. Hearing impaired children are Intellectually at par with any normal child but inability to hear makes them fail to understand the language and hence can’t speak or express their feelings. The latest available equipments or the sophisticated hearing aid and the proper training from early age helps in development of child where in they can contribute to the society and be a part of it.
"Born standing in service.. Why should a breath be wasted.."
The early detection and early use of amplification (hearing aid equipment) has shown a very positive effect on the language acquisition ability of a child with hearing loss. In fact infants identified with hearing loss by 6 months of age can learn language with the help of the hearing equipments.
When a child is enrolled for its schooling in our institute, its pre-school education begins. Here the children are taught the (syllabus which is design by RCI India) from the age of 3 to 6 years. The child is taught orally and with the help of auditory training. They are taught to Speak, to Hear and Lip Read.
Children from our institution are integrated into normal school from std. 1st. These Children study in normal school like all other children, our institute provides bridge up classes for those who cannot cope-up or find difficult to understand the subject matter. These children can have higher education.
This is useful for senior students who have completed their academic education and wish to be financially independent. Our institution gives vocational training such as computer education, drawing, craft, stitching, beautician courses, baking, cooking classes, dance, etc.
Parents play the major or the utmost part in the child’s development. Parents of children with a hearing loss does not only mean involvement with childs school structure or education. Such parents need to learn communication skills and develop awareness of deaf culture.
